New Insurance for Lodge Owners

In an industry first, insurance broker BGi.uk has teamed up with Omar Group, the leading designer, manufacturer and solution provider to the park home and luxury lodge marketplace, to launch Omar Insurance.

Following four years of significant growth, the acquisition of Wessex Unique Lodges & Park Homes and the creation Omar Parks Development Services (OPDS), Omar Group has diversified further into the world of insurance through specialist insurance broker BGi.uk. This unique partnership enables both parks and residents, to not just purchase one of the beautiful park homes or lodges that the group produces, but to also protect their investment.

Traditionally, insurance policies offered to residential park and holiday home owners have been less comprehensive than a typical household product. Omar Insurance products provide all the key features and benefits enjoyed by traditional homeowners, whilst meeting the demands and needs specific to residential park and holiday homes. In addition, park operators can apply for a tailor-made policy to ensure all of their park’s properties and commercial liabilities are covered.

This new partnership is the brainchild of Richard Sigsworth, Special Projects Director at Omar Group, who also heads their new division OPDS which leads potential park operators from land ownership through the whole park development and operations process. BGi.uk (then known as Bordengate Insurance), were trailblazers in this specialist insurance sector, launching one of the first bespoke products for mobile homes and park operators.
